Working Week. |

The academic activities for students in OPF educational institutions will be conducted five days a week, i.e., Monday to Friday. Saturday will be generally utilized for sports, excursions, parents-teachers meetings, etc. the teaching staff shall accordingly attend the college/school five days a week. They will also perform the scheduled assignments on Saturday as per the college/school Calendar in rotation or as and when specifically assigned by the Principal. The administrative in each college/school shall, however, remain open and fully functional six days a week, i.e., Monday to Saturday, as per the normal office routine. The administrative staff shall thus work six days a week like OPF Head Office. |

Working Hours. |

Working hours will be declared by the Principal in consultation with the respective teachers and communicated to the Head Office accordingly. Suggested timings are from 8:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M. On Friday, the timings will be till 12:00 with a break of 30 minutes in between.

Allocation of Periods. |
|
- For students of class Prep and below, there will be five to six periods a day.
- For Class-I and above, allocation of periods will be as under:-

Timings for Teaching Staff. |
|
- The student study span shall extend to six hours daily except on Fridays with four hours study-time, throughout the academic year. Observing the given timetable, the teaching staff shall report for duty at least 10 minutes before the start of the college/school and shall remain on duty till 10 minutes after the study hours.
- Principal, Vice Principal, Heads of Wings, and Duty Teachers (Day-Masters) will report for duty 10 minutes before the college/school starts, and will remain on duty 30 minutes after the last study period.
- Vice Principal and Heads of Wings taking less than 20 teaching periods a week shall attend the college/school on Saturdays for at least three hours as determined by the concerned Principal to help plan/execute/oversee administrative aspects related to academic efficacy of the institution.
- Teaching staff shall perform any other duty related to the students’ studies, discipline, co-curricular activities, maintenance of campus, building, premises, facilities, procurement, etc. as and when assigned by the Principal.
- DPE and PT staff shall report on duty at least 30 minutes before the start of the college/school and shall remain on duty 30 minutes after the scheduled study timings.

Timings for Admin Staff. |
|
Admin staff shall observe the 8-hour working day six days a week except Friday when the work-routine is reduced to six hours. |

Note: Institutions located in cold/ hot zones may adjust their working hours, academic sessions, examinations schedule, breaks and vacation, etc. according to local weather conditions. |

Medium of Instruction. |
|
The medium of instruction for OPF Educational Institutions will be English. The students should be encouraged to speak in English in college/school. This is only possible if the instructions given by the teacher are in English too. |

Work Load of Teaching Staff: |
|
- Approximately five periods a day i.e. 25 periods per week will be assigned to each teacher.
- Vice Principal, Head Mistress and Wings Heads will also take daily periods.
- Weekly timetable of teachers will be prepared, displayed and distributed amongst them. The time table record shall be properly maintained.
- Daily adjustments in time table will be made when necessitated by non availability of some teachers due to leave or other reasons and shall be recorded accordingly.

Term Wise Syllabus Breakdown. |

Term-wise breakdown of syllabi will be prepared and given to the students diaries at the start of each term

Teacher’s Lesson Plan
Registers/Assignments/Lesson Notes. |
|
Planning of individual teacher’s academic work in accordance with term wise/weekly breakdown of syllabus will be ensured through a system of Lesson Plan Registers. These planners written weekly and in advance, should reflect date-wise, period-wise, class-wise and subject-wise planning of teaching scheduled by individual teachers. Secretary to Wing Head is to carry out regular checks of the Lesson Plan Registers. Principal should also make spot checks. Every teacher/lecturer should be in possession of his/her Lesson Plan while taking classes. The teachers/lecturers Lesson Plan/Lesson Notes/Library Notes should be revised / enriched with additional information at the start of new academic session.

Students’ Folders/Dossiers. |
|
Student’s individual records are to be maintained in their personal folders. A student’s folder should contain the following:-
- Admission form
- Previous Academic Record/Marks Sheets
- Documented Evidence/Certificate of date of Birth
- Students Photograph
- Assessment form indicating special report/observations, if any
- Leave applications
- Correspondence with parents.
- OPF membership card
- SLC of previous institution (original)

Students Record. |
|
College/School Administration will keep a record of students and Fee
Receive from them and will also make reconciliation of tution fee on a monthly or quarterly basis.
A summaries record of tution fee should also be kept for easy reference.
